GMF – WHO ARE WE?

The GMF is the student association of all geology students at the University of Bern.

OUR TASKS

Throughout the year, we organize events for our members and offer assistance with questions or uncertainties related to geology studies. We thus serve as the communication point between the Institute of Geology and the students.

FIELD MATERIAL SALES (INTERNAL)

Furthermore, we sell a selection of high-quality geology field equipment needed for various excursions. As an association affiliated with the university, we can offer you attractive prices!

FIELD MATERIAL SALES (EXTERNAL)

In addition to selling field material at our institute, we also offer field material sales to external parties. We conduct this service in cooperation with the Swiss Geological Society (CH GEOL) .

CLUB STRUCTURE

As an association, we are structured so that you automatically become a member of our student council when you begin your studies in Earth Sciences (Geology) at UniBe. This gives you the opportunity to participate in our events and benefit from attractive offers in our shop!

BOARD

At the end of each spring semester, the board of directors of the GMF Bern is elected or its members confirmed by all members. Board members have clearly defined roles with responsibilities and opportunities to further develop the student association. The current board members and their areas of responsibility are briefly introduced below.
